Isabella Selder

Post by Laudiesdad69 » Tue Dec 27, 2016 12:53 am

Has anybody seen Isabella Selder on YT? She has the loveliest, most perfect set of hands. She handles stretches quite well. And she plays with a sensuality that is very subtle. Anyway just a shout out for those who were, like me, unaware of her. What is it with female Classical guitarists anyway? There seem to be more kick-butt female guitarists than there are men. You're putting us to shame ladies!

Her Youtube vids of the 5 Walton Bagatelles are largely responsible for me returning to playing again after many years away from the instrument.

Yeah, wow, what a performance! and she's using a Muratta, which perhaps addresses my apprehension about that support scratching a guitar.

I like very much her performance of the Rossiniana No.1 by Giuliani!

I'm embarrassed to say that I have not heard of her until now. I just listened to the Five Bagatelles and all I can say is wow. Isabella is an amazing player. I will be sure to look out for more of her recordings and videos.

She has been on my Youtube list for a long time. Not a ton of videos from her on Youtube, but all showcase her high quality and sensitivity of playing.

I am in love with her tone. The ways she makes that guitar speak is so beautiful. Ah, those hands. I remember when my hands looked nice. But now, due to age, my hands are wrinkled like crepe paper on the backs.

Isabella is amazing

Another new player that I'm enjoying is Stephanie Jones.
She just started posting videos of her playing the Bagatelle's.
