I have written in a previous post that a good technique for memorizing music is to begin with the last measure and work section by section to the beginning. I realize that this doesn't seem logical, this method is described in the above site (http://www.stephenaron.net/search?q=technique) and on Wikihow: http://www.wikihow.com/Memorize-Sheet-Music. I have used this for two very simple pieces and a longer piece (several pages).
