Any mechanical work on the car... including wiping a smudge from the glass.

The classical guitar - because in our fantasy we always play nicer than we actually do, when we take up the guitar...
Music is a big continent with different landscapes and corners. Some of them I do visit frequently, some from time to time and some I know from hearsay only ...

Electric guitar playing. When the nail on I extends beyond the pick, it's time to shorten it before you catch the string and it rips off. Let alone what happens to it if you play with a six-pence.

Lack of awareness.

Considering the RH nails, I spent quite a long time in India and in such countries you will realize the importance of delegating some tasks to RH (eating, giving money etc.) and just some specific tasks to the left (toilet, touching shoes etc.).
If you try to give some money with your left, they refuse and do not accept it..

A kind of subconscious habit was formed and now I automatically use my left hand for the tasks where the RH nails would be in danger.

Ikea! Once embarrassed myself loading a large heavy flat pack into the car when a helpful gent rushed to assist by pushing the item. I badly tore a nail, simultaneously uttering a foul oath bemoaning my injury. The look I received (quite understandably) made it obvious that he thought me a big girls blouse! I bit my nails as a child, and it has taken considerable discipline to break the habit. I just bite the left hand these days.
