I was at the concert which was fantastic in every way but Chris's piece was really beautiful. Very touching. It was a terrific festival fantastic concerts, one of the best festivals I have been to and I have been to a lot of them. Chris is a super great guy too as we talked at length about guitar, life, careers etc. Great time
It was so nice to meet you, and I look forward to connecting again.

I was also at this recital. Mr. Freitag left out one touching detail. Vieaux’s wife was sitting in the last row, holding 10 month old Evangelene. As Vieaux began to play the lullaby, Evangelene recognized the tune and began babbling happily. Everyone in the hall heard her, and I suspect everyone knew exactly who it was.

It was that kind of recital. And Vieaux got a memorable Father’s Day gift one week early.

Thank you for sharing that with us, Chris. :-D
She obviously likes the harmonics section.
What a beautiful gift...for you to have Jason play it in concert and for Jason and his family to have a piece written especially to welcome the new addition to the family. Seems everyone likes it.

That's fantastic Chris. :D What a lovely piece too! :casque:

Jason evidently appreciated your gift. Such a special moment for him - and everybody, including Evangelene! :discussion:

You can treasure that memory. :) Jason is such a nice, down-to-earth guy.

He is indeed. And quite funny. I really wish I could persuade him to post the picture I took using his iPhone of him posing nose-to-nose with David Russell at dinner after David's concert. It's hilarious, and neither of them could stop laughing.

I was there. Beautiful tune, nice arrangement, and a heartfelt performance by JV. It was a magical and touching moment, especially with a baby crying in the audience! Congratulations and well done Chris!
