Baroque Guitarists with Nails

Post by LukeMarsden » Wed Oct 11, 2017 2:07 pm

Any Baroque Guitarists out there who play with nails?

Anyone done a good recording - sick of youtube clips - want some listening depth

Thanks

In California, in the 1980s, Michael Lorimer and Darryl Denning both played concerts with baroque guitar in the first half, and classical in the second. Jack Sanders played concerts with vihuela, BG, and CG during the same era. I don't know of any recordings.

And of course there's Julian Bream's "Guitarra!" LPs from the 1980s as well.

There's Gordon ferries, a brilliant player from Edinburgh who has a number of CDs of baroque guitar played with nails. Recommended.
