Serenata Morisca help!

Post by muirtan » Sun Jan 07, 2018 8:09 pm

I've started to learn this piece and the 3rd bar timings don't add up. I assume it's an editing mistake. Does anyone know what the 3rd bar should be?

I'm guessing the 2nd beat should have the same rhythm as the 4th, meaning 16th notes.

That's what I was thinking and had been playing it that way. It would be good if anyone knew for sure what it was meant to be as I had a couple of other ideas but they would change the feel slightly. Thanks for your reply.

Maybe the complete edition from Mel Bay has corrected it. You can try to find a recording. Enea Leone plays it like I suggested :-) Try spotify!

Play the third beat as an ornamented triplet.
