Had a little spare time before work today, and played the following for my father, now 85.

Bach prelude BWV 998
Capricho Arabe
Julia Florida
V.L. Choros no 1 and Prelude no 3

I think he liked it!

Apart from the BWV 1008 prelude and menuets, I've been going back to a few Ponce preludes, mainly the F# minor and the Dminor and the Bminor which is easier now than it was a year ago. And I bought a microphone, so I've been looking at easy Brouwer again. However, when you buy a mic you realise just how bad you are, so don't expect to hear a recording any time soon!

Today I played through Regino Sainz de la Maza's "Canciones Castellanas" for the first time & I sat outside :-) Seems there are some mistakes in the score...Later I hid in my room playing r.h.exercises using pinky too.

Today I worked on baroque music. Fugue from bwv 1001 in arrangement by Walter Despajl. I'm sure he put in some extra notes and not sure if that's ok by me. Also looked at Allemande from Weiss suite 7 (SW35). Recently discovered this site: http://jdf.luth.pagesperso-orange.fr (hope it's ok). It's all there in tabs and notation. Fantastic source for Weiss-lovers. I kind of "arrange" it for 6-string as I go along.

I started with some studies, I particularly like Francesco Molino. Then played Cavatina, Choros and Theme and Variations Op.9.

I need to play more! I get "grumpy" if I don't. My wife missed me playing for her so now I've spent evenings playing everything I know (2 times each). Today I've played through Giuliani op. 45 and the Mertz arrangements of Schubert. Also practiced Denisov's sonata with no listeners.

Mertz Ständchen, BWV 999 och BWV 998, HVL preludio 4

Preludio from 998 just started to learn (again). This time there seems to be no technical difficulties, but I wonder if I will ever remember the whole piece without score. Seems like dementia have already struck.

Serious, I've had it with the guitar. Haven't played it for months.
