Even a couple of Bach pieces after dinner. You must have great talent. For some Bach pieces I need years.

I suspect you're being sarcastic, but let me assure you, I'm really quite mediocre! I need years for most of the things I play! But my regime includes practising the same thing for nights but then learning something new every day. I do it to improve my sight-reading, but don't expect to get it perfect the first couple of weeks. I used to do this regularly before work on my PhD dissertation and then my post-PHD academic concerns took me away from practice. So I have a lot to catch up on.

Had a break of 2-3 weeks, mostly because I was buried under mountains of grading + various writing deadlines (and this is why I will never perform, ha!)

So today it's back to Menuet I/II from Bach's BWV 1007, with a warm-up of Mozart's Petite Piece, and some digressions to my own songs. Boring, predictable but it works.

I did:
2 hours on Fantasia in E by Dowland
1 hour or the first variation from Sakura Variations
Assuming I don't drink too much wine over dinner, I plan to do another hour or so on Capricho Arabe and Dowland Lachrimae Pavan.

Hey there people!
What piece(s) did you practice today? I'm a "lazy" guitarplayer so I only practiced part of one piece...Padovetz fantasy over "La Straniera" by Bellini. I'm feeling good about it though, even if it's not a great deal. Hope everyone feels happy about their practice :-)

Kjetil

Capricho arabe by tarrega, allemande by bach, and the first few chords of Chaconne by bach. Have fun playing! :)
