Composition Colaboration!!! =D

Post by boguz » Sat Feb 25, 2017 9:17 pm

I had an idea today that i would like to share with you:

I would like to make a Composition Colaboration Project. It would be probably in the form of Theme and Variations.
One of us would write the theme and then other interested people would write a variation each.

We just need to talk a little bit about it to make sure we are all on the same page, but i think it could be a fun project with a quite interesting final product.

I even thought of a cool name for it: Hive Mind

What do you think about it? Interested in participating?
=)

I'm interested, but I don't have any program to compose in. How do you propose we do this?

Missed your post, but could be a nice idea. Some years ago, on the rec.music.classical.guitar newsgroup, there was something similar. Instead of variations on a new composition, an old melody was given to be arranged. Just google arrangization.

that wouldn't be a problem. you can write down what ever you compose, take a photo and send it to me, i can than engrave it! ;)

Let's see if we can get a couple more people. maybe 5 or 6 would be great!

Great idea but life's a bit short I might be up for it depending on the theme and how much I want to avoid doing what I should be doing.

What do you guys think we start we a simple melody and we see what we can come up with?
If this works well, then we can try something more complicated... =)

What do you think of this one:

E minor, simple melody, but we can still make something cool out of it!

This seems fun, I'm also interested! If I try it'll have to wait till Friday, though, since I have a ridiculous amount of homework to do (all of it music, actually...).

What do you mean? That we take this as a theme vor the variations? Maybe for the next one... :)

Or maybe not.
I guess I was thinking of simple transposing for guitar.
That is not what you mean.
I misunderstood.
Excuse me.
