Balfe, Michael - I Dreamt I Dwelt in Marble Halls

Post by lucy » Wed Aug 10, 2016 7:24 pm

This lovely piece was taken from Balfe's opera, The Bohemian Girl. The arrangement is by Sinyoung Ahn.

I recently recorded it onto a CD, (this is a different recording, though). If interested, please see my post in Members Announcements.

Hope you enjoy it.

Hey Lucy,
Got your CD and love it! This piece included.
Would love to know your source for the arrangements, especially Blue Moon and Misty.
Best

Thank you so much Jack. It's lovely to hear that you enjoy my CD. Makes it all the more pleasurable, to know it gives such pleasure to others! :D

Blue Moon is available from various online stores. It's in a book of Laurindo Almeida arrangements called Contemporary Moods for Classical Guitar, but Misty, arranged by Dennis France, is well out of print. I simply couldn't find a copy, anywhere, but I really wanted it, after hearing someone play it once. Eventually, someone I know mentioned that they had a copy! Please PM me about it.

The other arrangements are just things I picked up over the years and particularly liked. Let me know if you are interested in any of the others when you PM me.
