Albeniz, Isaac - Granada - Video

Post by Julian Ward » Thu Feb 09, 2017 3:15 pm

Hi All I am new to this forum but I thought I would share a very recent recording I did in a local church of a piece I have been seemingly altering the arrangement of for the past 20 years - I think I am finally happy with it!

Very beautiful. I really do like this arrangement/interpretation of yours. If you ever put it on paper (or in electronic form), I would love to have a copy to more carefully look at and examine.

Thank you Taylor 25 and Jacek - Yes i have changed it so often, but many of the changes came from studying the piano score (and even piano performances) more closely (I used to play it more slowly and with too much rubato and romanticism in it). There is a lot of influence from both the Bream and Dinnigan interpretations in there too. :)

Thank you - yes the B section is where you can really experiment with different positions as the tone colour varies greatly.
