Llobet, Miguel - Il Testament d'Amelia - Video

Postby Dmitry Nilov » Thu Mar 02, 2017 7:27 pm

It is one of my most favorite Catalan songs...

This famous Catalan song was loved for its melancholy and for the profound evocativeness of the tragic tale of a daughter fatally poisoned by her stepmother, who was in love with the girl's husband. It is still today regarded as one of the most beautiful of all Catalan songs.

I used to be crazy about this piece. Hope to learn it and play it half as good some day.
Great job.

Beautifully controlled and played, Dmitry. You've also done a tremendous job with the production of the video as well. The camera angles provided a lot of insight into your technique. Hopefully, I can use your playing as a guide for my own study.
Unhindered by talent.

Beautiful as always Dmitry. It also serves as very useful tutorial for how to play artificial harmonics. You make it look so easy and they come out so clear and loud. Thanks for posting this.
