I had a search of the Loriente Angela too, and it looks like a lovely guitar too, it appears to not be in production any longer though, does anyone know if this is correct?
Loriente Angela is now held by Cordoba. If it is discontinued you may search old stock which maybe discounted :casque: . I am satisfied with my Angela, beautifully made, french polished. Very loud

I had a look at some Hanika guitars before, never had a chance to play one though. Are they made in Germany or China?

If you want to hear a lot of whom who always plays with Loriente Angela you can browse Raffy Lata in the internet. A Filipino guitarist. Many videos of him playing beautiful songs with this guitar, I also enjoy those videos

Thanks for the Raffy Lata tip. From his videos, I discovered the arranger Jose Valdez and his arrangement of Historia De Un Amor.

You're welcome. Some of his new uploads uses Cordoba C10. Nice rosewood guitar

Tobias Braun makes fine maple back guitars. He makes the natural color a little bit darker...

Nice guitar, but quite a long way outside the OP's stated budget.

Tobias' maple guitars are torrefied, Ludwig. That's where the darker colour comes from. It's not a coloured varnish. And James is right as far as the price is concerned.

While we are taking a break from this thread to dream, please add me to the Braun lust list.

An alternative for you Cathy; Rohan Lowe's 12/99. Also, I'm afraid beyond the OP price limit but perhaps within your dream limit Cathy.

Maple back and side with spruce top guitar can be had at a very decent price if your are patient with due diligence in the search.
Way back in the 60's, Yamaha made two models of solid maple B&S/solid Ezo spruce top classical guitar, Model No. 45 and Model No. 85.
These are exceptionally good guitars. Every now and then, they come up in e - b a y. Generally, the prices are fairly affordable (a few hundred USD).
That is how I got mine.

If you are interested in one, make sure the label of the guitar looks like this.

One gentleman here sold an Ida Hideo Maple guitar a few months back for $1300. I thought that was a ridiculously low price.

Some beautiful guitars getting posted here. Still great to see, even if they're beyond my reach at this point in time. It's good to dream!
