Agreed. I tried a few in various places but couldn't spare 25k.

How did it compare to your Hill, I see Gary Ryan is playing with Williams , would be interesting to hear the comparison.

I felt the Smallman was technically and physically considerably easier to play than any other guitar I've ever tried. Almost uncanny in the way it responds and the ease of the left hand was amazing.

I recently had a pleasure to play on a bunch of high scale guitars including Hauser II and Bouchet. Apart from thier fabulous sound Hauser and Bouchet were extremely playable, they felt like playing themselves, although the action was not low at all. On the other hand I played on some guitars with very low action down to 2.5/3 and they were still hard to play. It's a mystery ...
