guitar shop in Dortmund

Post by aivarsm78 » Fri Feb 17, 2017 6:06 pm

Hello,
I will be in Dortmund at the end of March, and want to visit classical guitar shops in Dortmund (Cologne or Dusseldorf also are near). I am looking for hand made guitar (may be used) around 2500 EUR. I hope, than I can get any advice for shops, that sells used guitars too.

Thanks.

Very nice list, thanks.
I find out, that in Dortmund is a big store of musical instruments Justmusic.de. They have mostly Hanika and Khaya (both made in Germany), but also Juan Hernandez, Concierto.

I visited three guitar stores - Beyers Music in Bochum, Musik Gläsel in Essen, Justmusic in Dortmund. There were not too much guitar models, that was worth to try, may be 2-3 in every shop. The most I like was Jose Ramirez 1E, without doubt.
Also there was nice handmade guitar from Japan luthier Asturias, which have good tone, was very laud and very long sustain, but sound was too sharp for me, may be because of carbon strings.

Then it was probably an Asturias "Standard" (cedar or spruce) model because they are sold for that price.

Rainer Krempel's shop used to be near Wiesbaden. If you come across one of his guitars, be sure to give it a try. I've had mine for 50+ years.
1965 Krempel Classical (660ish mm)
Martin Sigma DM-1 Dreadnaught (std)
2011 Cordoba Cadete Classical (615 mm)
2014 Martin DX1AE (std)
