asturias guitars

Postby markrippon » Wed Feb 22, 2017 1:58 am

I currently own 2 Asturias guitars. One I think is from the 70's, a little beat up but has nice sweet tone. Also has the luthier's signature. The other is from the late 80's and was used during my student years at the conservatorium. I am looking for information about them as I may look to sell.

Might be able to help but would need more info. What models are they? Serial numbers, name of luthier, condition etc.

Put up some photos. Make sure to get a decent shot of the label.

Asturias guitar from 70's is C1 40S with M Makato signature. It's a little beat up but has sweet tone. The one from the 80's is AST 100 model, has very bright tone and is in good cond. Thanks for any info.

OK. The C140s is a mid range model with high quality laminated back and sides, probably not worth a great deal, especially if its in poor cosmetic condition, maybe £400 here in the UK. The AST100 was slightly higher in the range, but not at the top, beneath the John Mills models, equivalent to the A10, but with different bracing. May have been all solid, I'm not sure. Slightly higher in value maybe £600.

Don't think it worked. Sometimes need to reduce file size to post pics.
