I recently bought a used Esteve 1GRO1 at Guitar Center for $215.00. It was made inn 1997 i think. I know this is nothing at all to pay and I'm a beginner so there's nothing to lose here, but this is a really beautiful sounding guitar for so cheap. I figured the 1 model must be bottom of the line for Guitar Center to price it so low (the guys in the shop had never heard of the brand and didn't know how to pronounce or spell it).

I'm looking through the forums here curious about this G series that they no longer seem to make. Can anyone tell me anything about this guitar I just bought?

Yes it is the most basic CG they have with solid cedar top and lam mahog or maybe sapelly b/s.

There have been some changes to the name including 1GR01/Model 1/1.4ST/4ST (I think).

Should be a pretty decent guitar.

Sounds like you got a pretty good deal if it's in good shape and you like the tone.
