Scott Tennant's guitar

Post by mohhzi » Sun Jun 04, 2017 5:03 pm

Dear ,
Does anyone know what kind of guitar Scott Tennant is playing in the attached picture? I would like to buy this for studio recording.

Best.

He is listed as a Kenny Hill artist, but I don't know if that is a Kenny Hill guitar.

The rosette strongly suggests Dammann.

I believe he sold his Dammann a number of years ago, but maybe he got another one?

Does anyone know where to purchase this guitar with discounted price, I mean the old ones made in 2016 or 2015 or older? Is there a shop for 50% off discount for 1-year or 2-year-old guitars?

Thanks!

Why be shy? I would ask for 70% off for a guitar 1-2 years old, particularly from a shop (that needs a profit to stay in business)!

Scott seems to play a different instrument on each of his videos, but I'd agree that this one certainly looks like a Dammann.

It's a Dammann. Your best chance is to contact Christopher R Kamen at "Classic Guitar International" in Santa Barbara.

And visit your bank beforehand to check out what security they require for the substantial loan.....

No and no. Sorry.

However, if you are looking for a more typical factory guitar then buying second hand privately you could expect to save 30%-40% of the new price of a fairly new guitar. With high price handmade guitars, the situation is trickier. If a famous player has used a guitar from a famous maker then the price is unlikely to be discounted in any way. The players name adds value as far a collectors are concerned.
