Yamaha cg171/172sf vs Cordoba Gk Studio?

Post by CrisJoaquim » Fri Jan 05, 2018 6:18 pm

I've played flamenco on a CG with a golpe my luthier installed and have recently been looking for a spruce top I could play some flamenco on. I've found the Yamaha's and Gk studio's at a couple of stores around my area and am looking to try both out although I'm not sure which to go for. The cutaway of the Gk is nice but the nut width is a bit narrow, which I don't mind too much.

Anyone have experiences with these two and can help guide me in the right direction?
Thank you in advance

Yamaha 172SF is a better flamenco guitar than the Cordoba GK Studio. Better yet, get the Yamaha 171SF, but it's been long discontinued, and they're hard to find.

I’d second the cg171
The GK is nice too though, althoigh I don’t need if you’d find the fact that you could plug it in useful or if the cutaway is what you’re looking for
