D02 3 players, 6 notes, 15 days, 1 voice

Post by Jean-François Delcamp » Thu Mar 03, 2011 8:10 am

Hello,
Here is a game for 3 players.
Who would like to play it with me?

D02 3 players, 6 notes, 15 days, 1 voice
D02 means that the game is second year level.
3 players means that the work is to be constructed by 3 players.
6 notes means that each player invents a sequence of 6 notes.
The work is under construction for 15 days.
1 voice means that the collective work is monophonic.
The rhythm is free and modifiable.

The first player records a sequence of 6 notes, the second player repeats what his predecessor played and completes his phrase by adding another sequence of 6 notes to it. The third player repeats what the previous player played and adds another 6 notes. At the end of 15 days, one of the players finishes off the collective work with a concluding phrase and indicates in his post that the work is completed. If a contribution does not fit the specifications, the other players can ignore it or adopt it, but it is advisable to reject contributions that are above the level proposed and which would put the other players in difficulty.

Here then are my first 6 notes. I call this game Brest:

Thank you for the invitation, I would like to take the next turn. It will be tomorrow morning before I can submit my recording. If that's a problem I'm happy for a moderator to 'skip' me!

Dear Jean-Francois and Ned,

Merci beaucoup. I hope I've reproduced your notes correctly!

(Ned - thanks for your message. As an exercise I've tried to write out the 'score', but I thought I should wait until it's complete.)
