However, the Japanese seller from musical instrument store in Japan will NOT sell this guitar to overseas buyer. You have to fly to Japan to buy directly from the store.
See if any kind Delcamp members can help you to facilitate the transaction?
Hi Lim
I would love to own this magnificient Yamaha GC30A guitar if someone can help me to do the exportation from Japan.
Anyone or Japanese friend you know can help out?
Yes! Magnificent is the right word.
Be patience. I waited 35 years for my GC30A. I might consider a GC70. I must first make friend with a Japanese or someone staying in Japan. I am also thinking of acquiring a 1974 GC30A. The purfling, rosette and tuning machine are different from my 1978 GC30A.

Hi Mr Lim
I also need to convince my new Japanese friends to help me to purchase the Yamaha GC guitars. However, if the local Japanese people buy the guitar , the guitar subject to government sales tax whereas for exporting guitars with No sales Tax. But you may save money on your Singapore custom tax or import tax if your friend buy it for you and declare it as " A Gift" to you.

Just checking if you guys have come across any older, as in before the 80s GC guitars that were unsigned?

Just wondering if that means anything???
B grade? Slight defects?

I don't know if this was already discussed in a thread in this forum, but the Yamaha guitar archive is offline for quite a while now. I have contacted Yamaha in their online chat tool, and they have promised to send me a chart with all (sic!) the information from the archive per mail. Unfortunately I have not received anything from them. Does anyone of you have this "chart"?

If you do get this, would you mind sharing it? I regret not pulling more information off the archive now that it is down! hahaha..

Good news, I have the complete Yamaha archive now :D
I will think about a way to share the archive to all forum members who are interested in this information.

Yes, it's in one Excel sheet. I forgot to ask Yamaha if the archive is freeware, or if I violate any laws by uploading it somewhere.
The easiest short-term solution is to send me your mail address per PM.

BTW, I've been on a bit of a GC buying spree lately. I added a GC5s, GC5m and a GC5 to my nightly playing options. So far, I am pleasantly surprised by the sound of the GC5s. It has excellent volume, sustain and low mids and also has very respectable brightness for a cedar top.
