If I'm happy with the guitar I might change the tuners to Alessi, I like the looks and feel of those.

When is it arriving?

I'd be very interested in playing Amalio Burguet guitars if it was possible locally. Looks like ordering it would be the only option, and I wouldn't do that.

Tomorrow, according to TNT. You have 48 hours to play the guitar from where I ordered it, then you can send it back if your are not satisfied. But I totally agree, it's a gamble, but so is life :)

Where do you live btw?

So "Amalio Burguet" is an actual man/luthier or some made-up name like "Antonio Loriente?"
"Antonio Loriente" - Yeah, I hear you on that one my friend!

I'm in Maryland. There is a good classical guitar dealer near me, but he pretty much only carries Alhambra, Kremona and Hill guitars, plus a random assortment of luthier instruments. I can also find some Cordobas in the area.

I actually bought my current guitar on e - b a y, got a great deal, and I'm really happy with it... but it was only $900. That's a lot of money but still a relatively modest investment by classical guitar standards. I've bought and returned a couple CGs in the past, it's kind of a stressful experience. Best of luck to you. I've heard nothing but good things about Amalio Burguet.

Well "happy" is always relevant for us classical guitarists isn't it? :)

I look at guitars a lot even if I don't really plan to buy anything. But you never know...

Before you share the joy of your new guitar, I'm seriously liking your cat for now, and wanting more to know what your cat would share its view about that flat long shelter.

Hahaha!

It was nice, very easy on the hands and a warm, yet clear sound. Well worth the money and more... I'm not sure of strings, but I know Amalio and his family recommend Savarez Creation Cantiga set 510MR.
