Hi Phigoe,
Can you explain how the buttons are attached to the worm gear shafts? (What holds the worm gear shaft assembly together?)

I'll clarify,
I see the brackets are attached to the plates. Nifty which is nice...but,
I was asking how the buttons (snakewood in the picture) are attached to the wormgear shafts. See the picture for terminology.
Loose buttons always come back to the luthier, but not before frustrating players.

what size of machines screws u using for worm brackets?

Hallo
the Buttons are screwed to the shaft with the Little cap at the end. the bottoms are also glued to the shaft.
As they are glued, you can remove the parts, but this should be done by us, as we know how to assemble the shaft again.
