It's called Torres FE17 because Torres invented the 1864 FE17 guitar and what I am building is somewhat like a replica.
As partially mentioned above it will have a short scale, a small plantilla, the original bracing and bridge inlays.
The blue shade comes from poor light and my potato camera.

That I am the reborn ghost of Torres himself was just a joke which I also won't measure up to. ;)

Btw the box is closed and I am about to install bindings soon.

Hi Philipp,
When you say a small plantilla will that be roughly LB 348 mm, UB 248 mm, W 206 mm and BL 466 mm dimensions?
Thank you
Alan

Yes thats nearly correct !

The LB is 325 though but all the others match very close.

Thanks Philipp,
Just getting a feel for the guitar size.
There are a few conflicting specs out there for a FE17.
Love your work mate thanks for taking the time to answer my question.
Cheers
Alan

Alan, if you use the plantilla that I sent you, then match the dimensions to it, you will have it as accurate as possible. The PDF is from Luca Waldner who did the restoration work on the original FE17 and was prepared from the actual guitar. No conflict of data there!

Thanks Doug. I wasn't sure if they where both the same in specs.

Just size your PDF to match the known dimensions.

Yes, I quite agree with Doug.
My model is not really a replica but more an interpretion as I stated several times before.
So I did use the original measurements but I never was nor will I be the "strictly-according-to-plan-guy".

Here's somekind of last update. I want the finished guitar to be a surprise for Andreas. 8)

Wow! Looks good and can't wait to hear the sound.
How much is it worth/does it cost? (If you don't mind me asking?)

And I guess the wait list is getting longer and longer. I'm happy to see the good progress of my new guitar, and I can't wait to see it in real life and hear the first sounds of this beauty. I hope I can record a short piece when I'm back from my trip to Leipzig and the meeting with Philipp. Maybe we can also take and publish one or two pictures of us three (Philipp, the guitar, and me).
