Redwood/Cherry guitar finished

Post by Andy Culpepper » Tue Jun 27, 2017 12:17 pm

Hi all,
Here's a guitar just finished with Redwood top and Cherry back and sides. Sloane tuners and a small sound port. I do consider it my best so far. The sustain and the way the intervals line up and blend together is something special. I also got some nice recordings, enjoy!

Simple and elegant (which surely means a lot of work). Very nice sound.

Very nice guitar with an interesting choice of woods, and a nice headstock!

Reminds me of a Hauser II guitar i played .......also topped with CA redwood that shares the characteristics of this guitar.

Thanks all...I'm very impressed with the Redwood. My friend who doesn't really build anymore has a few more sets that are nicely aged. I got this set from him and I think I'm going to relieve him of the rest.

Andy,

That guitar sounds amazing... seriously, I would concur with your sentiments. Really sweet but clear and rich... nice work. The player helped too :)!!

Thanks Chris! You might have noticed that I was inspired by your rosette from our project, I think it was the one from the top that you didn't end up using.

I'd be happy to set one aside for you, Paul :)
