I understand that the Cordoba C12 SP comes with Savarez HT strings.

What are you using?

This might be better asked in the strings section. Maybe a moderator can move it.

I still use the Savarez HT but don t actually play my C12 all that much.

I have one. I am playing with very short fingernails and have some former hand injuries (was a pianist), so I like low-tension strings. I'm using Savarez white card. I personally like the way low-tension strings sound, as well. To me, more expressive, actually more treble volume although I know conventional wisdom often says the opposite.

I'm curious to try well-made gut strings on it and may bump up the basses to normal tension regardless what I do about the trebles.
