Hello !

Nice sound, but...
Your interpretation does not correspond to the score published on the site (or to the original in tablatures). (D03, éditions Jean - François Delcamp).
It lacks the second part, and the rhythm is inaccurate.
Where did you find your score?

Then, it is a dance, rather warrior (the axes) and not a lullaby!

There are several MP3s on this thread, listen to them, and you will hear the difference.

Thank you for sharing.

Hello Isabelle,

Thanks for your comments, much appreciated. Regarding the transcription, that's a popular one by Narcisso Yepes. For example, Parkening played the Suite Espanola according to Yepes transcription. I know that it's a shortened version but I still like it that way. The version with variations would not sound good when played slow "like a lullaby" :D .

As for the my slow playing, I know that it's supposed to be a dance, but that's my interpretation. I asked for Gaspar's permission to play it that way and he didn't mind (there was no answer from him so I took it as an agreement :D ).

I'm getting older and enjoy playing slower in a meditative way. I found that a lot of pieces I used to play fast (when I was younger) sound very nice and quite different when played slow.

There are two versions of "Las hachas" ...
I also learned that of Yepes when I was young ... :D

Thank you for the pdf ( I do not find the collection again) :?
And I too, with age (and also osteoarthritis), I play less quickly than my youth.

And since Sanz agreed, it 's very good!

best regards,

Isabelle
