So fresh and exciting. I've only known the version in the Noad book. Your version is alot more fun. Now I'm going to go try to play it. Thanks Dave.

Unbelievable! Who said this is the best Canarios only on this site? This is the best I've heard anywhere, and believe me, I've heard John Williams' too. Hybrid, you're obviously an uncompromising perfectionist. I've found absolutely no spot or blemish in your performance here. This piece is usualy ignored by most masters but like an unpolished stone you picked it up and polished it into a precious gem. Did I 'hear' you say somewhere you're not ready for Seville? I don't believe so. I'l be looking forward to hear you play some masterpieces in the future, and I think that'll be awesome. I've watched your Scarlatti video and I think his masterpieces are good ones to start with...Thanks for sharing.
...give me a wooden box and I will make it sing, weep, and dance...

Wow! Thanks so much you guys! :merci:

This was one of those pieces that i'd heard played here and there, but nobody
had ever really taken it by the horns. I wanted to give it a more powerful, spanish dance, kind of vibe.
It reminds my a bit of a flamenco guajira or something. Great piece. :D

Thanks again for listening! :bye:

I like your version better than Jonathan Adams's rendition (Classical Surroundings, Vol.11; Pamplin Music). His was my favorite up until now. Yours is going into my iPod.

How about a second take? An extended version, so we can listen to it longer.

Just downloaded it.

Beautiful job. A true musician's rendition.
Lean your body forward slightly to support the guitar against your chest, for the poetry of the music should resound in your heart.

Fabulous. I have just started working on Canarios a week ago; this rendition is closer to Lagoya’s, rather than Bream’s rather classical approach. Lovely. Thanks for sharing!

Hi Hybrid, it is so wonderful playing, very bright. The recording is perfect like a pro CD.
Are you a pro? How did you record your playing? with which equipment?

Cheers!

Great job. This is the next piece I am going to take on. I enjoy Sanz's work.
