Sanz, Gaspar - Canarios - D05 Video

Post by Marcus Strand » Sat Jan 26, 2013 11:01 am

Hello!

This is a video I recorded a while back for a television thing, it's the famous canarios with my own little rasgueado arrangement in the repeat.
They said it absolutely couldn't be a millisecond over 2 minutes, so I had to play rather fast since it's 3 minutes in my original tempo..
So, not the most laid back recording, but good fun none the less!

I love this, the rasgueado is absolutely superb. I can honestly say this is one of the best versions I have ever heard.
I'm now going to check out your youtube channel for some more of your playing.
:bravo:

you are a very good performer and precise. I love playing this song every now and then and also I have made my own version in which I use a little 'rasgueado.
If you accept a criticism, perhaps you use it a bit 'too much and the excessive speed with you play the song, this cause a bit lose' the rithm of emiola so characteristic that makes this piece of Sanz ...

excuse me for my ***** english!

:bravo:

This is really good! Looked at this piece briefly when I was starting out to get used to the finger style as I came from playing electric guitar. The addition of the rasguaedo technique works very well.

You are really blasting through it really fast. Nice technique and projection.

Maybe needs a bit of maturing in the musicality department.

Still, a lively and vibrant rendition. :bravo:

That's Canarios on steroids! I think I would like to hear you play it a bit slower so I can take in the beauty of the music. However, I'm impressed that you could hold it together at that speed! :bravo: for your precision and speed.

Very well done. Only wish I could play it so we'll though wish it was a little slower.

Great performance. Well done.

It's interesting how a piece like this works equally well played fast like your rendition or played slower. Each version breathes a different life into the composition.

Cheers,
Paul
