Sanz, Gaspar - Canarios - D05 Video

Postby mike.janel » Sat Oct 24, 2015 10:37 pm

Hi folkes.

I am trying out the Aquila Alabastro Light Tension set.
It seems to work very well for this kind of music.
I did not use any reverb on this recording.

Hope you enjoy.

Very nice!
Your version is very nearly the same as mine! Seems "canarios" is a popular piece! :)

Thanks you.
It is basically Delcamp version with a bit of variation I have "borrowed" from other performers.
Canarios is indeed popular and for good reason. Not too many pieces at that level that sound so full and resonant.

:bravo:
I truly enjoyed your performance. You make it look so easy.
Only in my dreams would I ever be ably to ever play this. I've stumbled through and even memorized a bit of the 1st part. I think that when I want to hear this piece, I'll just view your video.
Thank you for sharing your music.
:merci:

Nice, Michael - ripping that piece apart in a very good way of course. You made a very enjoyable arrangement.

Beautifully played! I like the Alabastro strings too (good for playing without nails). You make them sound very convincing! (gut + baroque guitar)

Thank you very much.
The Alabastros also work well when playing with nails. A bit on the bright side, but not metalic.

Very nice playing! I enjoy listening to the early guitar pieces, like Gaspar Sanz etc. Thanks for posting it!
