The complete sonata. Don't forget to watch the Presto at the end. My favorite!

Hello.
I like the Presto! Cool!
I've never seen a guitar like that!
You probably need a lot of time to tune it all days!
I'm curious to know which tuning this guitar have. It's closer to a lute?
Regards,
R.

Thanks Rodolfo!

No, it's not harder to tune than a regular guitar. It just take a little more time. It's tuned like a baroque lute so I can read directly from the tabs without the need for arrangement or transcription.

The tuning is : f,d,a,f,d,a,G,F,E,D,C,B and A

Thank you a lot for the feedback!
It is really interesting. It looks a hard job to make a guitar like that by a luthier!
So the strings have different sizes?
How long time are you playing now this type of guitar! forgive if there is a specific name for this guitar i don't know! and im sorry for so many questions!

Excellent Alain, lovely tone. Do you need special training to play those? Thanks for taking the time to upload.

Don't be sorry for the questions Rodolfo. That's what this forum is all about.

I've been playing that type of guitar for three years now. It's been quite an ordeal to learn to play and to dampen all those basses and I had to learn to read the tablatures at the same time.

The strings are of different sizes in order to achieve the right tension.

My guitar was made by Michael Thames, a luthier in New Mexico. He call this model a Dresden Guitar. There are a few other luthier who make that type of guitar as well. I received lately a comment on YT from a luthier who build thirteen string guitar in Peru or Bolivia, I don't remember. If you want I can retrace it for you.

That was remarkable. I stumble and bumble over my 6 strings. The music and performance were something I could listen too all day. Thank you.

Thanks Ed!

A special training? Actually yes, you need to learn to read baroque lute tabs.

Magnificent. Most enjoyable. You must get a lot of satisfaction from your playing.

Yes indeed! A lot of satisfaction from the playing but for the recording I'm never satisfied.
