Carcassi, Matteo - op.59 Waltz in E Major - Video

Haven't played this piece in decades. Literally.
While teaching myself out of Carcassi's method as a teenager, this was one of my favorite pieces to play for my friends and family.

Good playing.
All these books on the shelve seem to make your guitar sound even nicer. :merci:

I like the piece and your sound.
Your new guitar looks just beautiful. Not too much decorations and the top looks and sounds great.

Thanks!

The guitar isn't really mine.
It is a new build by Brian McCombs.
He visits here quite a bit, usually in the luthier section.

This is his last build, and I am checking it out and opening it up for him a bit.
I like his guitars a lot. I played the last three he built and I was quite impressed.
I own a guitar he built a couple years ago: a Spruce/Mahogany model.
Love that guitar. He has a lot to offer!

This is one is Spruce/Rosewood.
I guess he would offer this one for sale once I send it back.

Thanks for listening and commenting.

The top on this guitar looks amazing!
It looks like Carpathian Spruce, even though I don't think it is.
The Spruce Brian selected for this guitar is simply gorgeous.
I've had it now for about a month, and it has already opened up so much.
It sounds nice and creamy. Like butter! :)

The image in the video really doesn't do it justice.

Excellent! It sure sounds better than when I play it. I like the tempo and articulation you use for this piece.

Wonderful playing -- I've been visiting the pieces in Carcassi's Method, and it's full of wonderfully charming pieces.

Thanks! I appreciate it.
I still have the original Carcassi book I was using at the time.
It is old and weathered. So special to me :)
Yes, lots of charming music in there.
