Not at all; you play on the strings wherever they give you the tone that you're after. I just wondered if having the sound hole higher increased the playable area for the right hand. I guess I wondered if that was the rationale of your design. Pure guessing on my part!

I would say that over the sound hole is still a playable area for the right hand -- as a neutral spot? Maybe not, but that's due to the color of the sound. As a general rule I go for a more neutral initial sound, and change either darker or lighter as I see fit.
