Hello Fifo,

Glad to see you posting again—there's no copyright problem with Carulli.

I think this is the first piece I ever studied so I always have a soft spot for it.

Thank you for sharing your performance with us.

Best wishes, V

PS The copyright issue is a little complicated sometimes—and I get it wrong too. If you have any doubts about posting, send a private message to one of the moderators before you go ahead.

This confuses me. We can't post a recording of a song that was "modified?" What if I miss a note in my rendition of a "unmodified" song, and thereby modify it? Is that banned?

Maybe someone could just point me to the rules for posting recordings, because I have a few I'd like to share.

Just a general note about copyright as there seems to be a little confusion within this thread. Here are the rules:

http://www.classicalguitardelcamp.com/viewtop ... 1236#11236

Only music which is in the public domain may be published on this site.

With regard to the two piece mentioned above, the Malaguena referred to was written by Frederick Noad. The other composition, though reminiscent of the famous Asturias was an original composition in a different key and also by Frederick Noad. As he only died in in 2001 all his works are subject to copyright.

Basically works, and arrangements, remain subject to copyright for 75 years following the death of the composer or arranger.

As the consequences of copyright infrigement can be extremely severe, we always take copyright seriously.

Best regards, V

Thank you FiFO and Patriot for your performances.

I'm very new to both the forum and the guitar. So your performances have inspired me to practice harder just to accomplish the dexterity and speed at which you "guys" can play the piece.

Bravo and thank you for some needed inspiration.

Regards
Alan

Well Done, This too was the first piece I ever learnt on the Classical Guitar. I play it almost every day as a warm up.

Well Done! :merci:
