Here is a beautiful slow movement from one of Carulli's Trios,(Op.9 No. 3), that shows how well he wrote for the flute as well as the guitar. It is taken from my recording with the De Parys Trio.

Thanks for your comments. much appreciated. In one of our concerts, a member of our audience said that he wanted to have it played at his funeral. I think that's a compliment!

It's a mystery to me that so much of the repertoire for classical guitar is solo. Something to do with travelling virtuosos? It's so much more enjoyable to make music with others, especially when they are good and can contribute skills learnt from years of orchestral experience. I love the fact that our trio has blowing, scraping and plucking modes of sound wave generation!
