Carulli, Ferdinando - op.027/III/17 - Duo

Post by David Norton » Mon Nov 10, 2014 2:50 am

A cheery duo little "Lesson" in D major, in rondo form, from Parte Terza of Carulli's Methode Op. 27. This is #17 of 24 Lessons. As performed by David Norton and Cindy Spell.

Sounds great David! I meant to ask how your performance went. Great, I see!

Thanks, Susan. We had an excellent turnout for the event, literally Standing Room Only. That means 42 people in an art gallery with 36 chairs. We are playing it all again on Friday Nov. 21.

Bravo David and Cindy,

Lovely Carulli's duet and you play that duo very correct and with passion. I love it.

Wow, that was very nice! That's one of those pieces that ends in a way that makes you want to stand and exclaim, "Bravo!"

Glen: Yup, that's kind of the idea. :)

Carulli wrote quite a lot of really enjoyable music, but sadly he is forever associated with the very very beginner's pieces and not his more complex material.

This is a "teaser track" for a CD which Cindy and I are working on. Probably it will be released mid-2015. More on that much later of course.
