Carulli, Ferdinando - op.114/01 Prelude

Post by magie » Thu Mar 05, 2015 7:47 am

Maybe it's not the best of all recordings ever performed and posted here ... ... however I am so proud .. that's my first one .. and the first time I managed to play this prelude with no absolute obvious wrong notes  ... only two obvious squeaky noises .. ... so please be patient ... not much of an artist's like variations in sound and speed ... I am self-educating and struggling with my stiff old fingers but I am rather enthusiastic ...

played on Artesano EMS Ltd. Ed. 2014 (solid spruce top / solid maple body)
strings Savarez Alliance Corum 500 AR
recorded with Samson Go Mic usb

HI Magie,

Very nice indeed and well done on your first (of hopefully many) recordings.

Regards,
Paul

:merci:

I have a couple more of recordings but I have to redo them before posting ... work load unfortunately offers little room for practising and recording currently ...
Best wishes from magie!

Thanks for listening bb33.

It's interesting to listen to oneself playing the guitar :) ... it sounds very different from 'in front of the instrument' compared to being 'behind' it ....

My first recordings told me to work on my fingernail length and shape ... actually my thumb and hence the basses are much better now ...
After reshaping, my string attack and hence sound were much better ... unfortunately had no time to do any recordings :( ... but anyway I think recordings are a good way to listen more critical to the own playing.

Next week I am away for a business trip. Have to leave my classical guitar behind. Can take only one of my steel strings with me. I am curious whether one week's rest on the nylons is to the good or not with respect to my string attack ...
Best wishes from magie!
