Giuliani, Mauro - op.048/16 Study

Post by ricstang » Fri Apr 27, 2007 6:58 pm

Here's my attempt at study number 16 by Giuliani. I was playing this piece this morning and having a blast doing it, so I figured I would record it. I think I got carried away and "over-played" my guitar in a few spots, and the tempo may have gotten away from me a little, so please be kind. Thanks for listening!

Hello Ric,

I really enjoyed this! What a spectacular piece of music it is—it really does sound as if you were having a great deal of fun.

Thank you very much for letting us share your joy,

Best wishes, V :D

I believe it's meant to be over-played! You did great, I enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing!

BTW, technically it's not a study but ... an exercise (op 48 is a series of so-called 'esercizio'). And as an exercise, boy it's really nice! I believe I have it on an old vinyl from Lagoya at home... and he also over-played it

If that's what "overplaying" is, well, I hope to hear you overplay EVERYTHING!

It's playing like this that keeps me inspired. Keep it up!

Hi Ric,

Even five years later my response and opinion.
Very well performed, I would say. Probably this is
an understatement to say just played this morning and recorded ?
Did you really not practised that piece before?

Nevertheless many thanks for your sharing :merci:

Bye

It's really lovely!
