Giuliani, Mauro - op.071/01 Sonatine - D06 Video

Post by Paul Saywood » Thu Dec 16, 2010 10:02 pm

Hello,

This is the latest thing I've been working on. I must admit that I made a couple of mistakes and had to cut back in, but the piece is over nine minutes long and I am relying on my reading skills. Odd though, I played the difficult parts with much of a problem...

Thanks,
Paul :)

Hi Paul,

I'm so pleased you have recorded this!

By coincidence I have been delving into Sonatine No 1 this past fortnight and absolutely adore it, especially that fourth section, though I can't play it anywhere nearly as well as you do! Your recording is certainly going to be help me,

Many thanks, V, :D :merci: :applauso:

Hello V,

The forth section as in the rondo, or the 16th note part of 1st piece? I only ask as there are only three parts.

It is a lovely piece to work on, the middle part is quite easy, but having spent more time with the other parts that was the part I struggled to get clean. Good luck with this one my friend.

Thanks very much, and best wishes to you. :)

Hi Paul,

Yes, I meant the rondo. It's puzzled me a bit as my score is split into three parts but the second one is labelled Op71.2-3 (I downloaded it from somewhere, can't remember where. It's not Boije, it is a modern typesetting). I really enjoy my attempts to play Giuliani; thanks again for your recording—very useful,

Have a good weekend, V :)

Hi Paul,

Do you have a record of this music in mp3?
