Meister, Riff - Sketch in Am

Post by riffmeister » Tue Mar 04, 2014 3:25 pm

A very short winter theme for what's been a very looooooong winter!

Zoom H4n recorder with internal mics, reverb added outside of the Zoom.

Played on a 1992 Manuel Velazquez with spruce top and African Blackwood sides/back. I just put a set of D'Addario EJ45 normal tension nylon strings on the guitar for a little bit more mellow sound.

Movie soundtrack to Jessica Lang driving into the setting October sun across the dried out golden fields of Nebraska. The filming is uniquely done, as it only shows her blowing scarf in front of the lens, with the blazing hues of color across the falling horizon. The haunting Riffmeister Sketch coats the segment with the melancholy images of our own loneliness and the comfortable small rooms of the prairie used by our modest relatives of yesterday.

For someone who's had a very loooong, hot, dusty, dry and firey summer: that sounds very nice, Riff.

Even through my performance-challenged computer speakers.

Kent - my feelings exactly: except, perhaps, it might be the scarf of Kristin Scott Thomas :)

Riffy

I really like your little sketches. Just wondering, about how many have you written?

Not sure, maybe two dozen or so? I have some free time this year so I am going to try to record and score them all, it will require a Miniature Effort!
