It has been a few years since I have posted any recordings to the forum. Mostly because as my ears have improved, I can only hear the inadequacies in my playing and that embarrasses me.
However, since it is "New Guitar Day"
and I know I will be asked for a sound sample, I am posting this recording of Julia Florida--warts and all-- as my new guitar's sound sample. I made a few recordings this afternoon and this is the one with the fewest errors.
The mistakes occur in different places in each of the recordings I made.
Ah well, I should know better than to expect a "perfect" recording.
I used a Zoom H4N with no processing. Any clicks or taps you hear in the background come from the radiator in the room when the heat is on! (hot water baseboard heat)
The strings are just D'Addario EJ46.
I really love the piece....I am working hard on playing it better. I hope you enjoy it ...this is what nearly eight years of CG study sounds like. I didn't know how to read music when I started at age 54, so for all of you late starters, just remember you are never too old!
