What a neat piece! I have the two volume Stover edition of Barrios's work, so I'm sure it is in there somewhere.... but I haven't heard it before. Thank you for playing it and sharing it with us. :-D

This is a nice estudio. Must try it myself one day. You made me curious.

Thanks everyone for the comments and thank you for taking the time to listen! Dekselsedek--the estudio conciertio is a great piece--someday I'll find the time (and the nerve) to dig into it.

That's a nice piece, and you deserve extra credit for "honoring the rests" which so many players allow to over-ring.

Yes, it is there, indeed, Lagartija, in page 7 of "The Guitar Works of AGUSTIN BARRIOS MANGORÉ", Volume 1, Stover edition. A very nice study which I also heard for the first time. Very well played, MaritimeGuitarist, congratulations and thanks for sharing :) it.

That s the first time I heard that piece, and niticed a little bit of melody in there that sounded distinctly Barrios. He'd be pleased to know that you played it for us. Thank you.

Thanks for the comments everyone! I find that many of Barrios' studies don't seem to be as well known as the Sor or Villa Lobos sets. This is unfortunate because he has several very effective ones. I learned this one because I wanted to work on my scale/alternation technique. Since then, I've explored several other Barrios etudes and they have really helped me advance with my slurs, arpeggios etc.
