Excellent performance and a very atmospheric video, Pat! I wish I could play like that. I have always liked this tremolo piece better than Recuerdos de la Alhambra.

All the best,

Peter

P.S. By the way, I prefer the original title "Una Limosna por el Amor de Dios". Sounds much nicer although I'm not religious.

I heard John Williams play this in Southport a couple of years ago, and, while that interpretation is still my favourite (listen to the 'places inbetween' album with john etheridge)
your's is the only other interpretation I've yet heard, that reaches anything like that. Thank you

Now I just have to work a bit more on my own version

Pat,

Without a shadow of doubt this is THE best version of this piece I have ever heard.

You play with so much emotion and soul you almost had me crying as I was listening to it.

simply stunning !

Thank you so much for sharing

what a wonderful, respectful tempo, you've chosen, Pat. I've heard that played slightly faster and in retrospect, I like your interpretation and pace better. I think that your chosen pace is more in keeping with the nature of the piece.

Now, THAT was truly moving ...

i just wanted to thank you all for your really kind comments on this great piece of music.as you all know its a very dificult piece and im delighted that you feel i have done it some justice.to be compared up there with williams and russell i am blown away! believe me i am very humble about my abilities and your words truly move me.thank you all.based in ireland it is very hard to get recognition or even find places to perform and i hope one day ill get the chance to play for you all.

Simply amazing  Both playing and quality of the video - this must be one of the best renditions of this piece out there. I had a headache but now I feel better after listening to your playing :merci: :bravo:
