Until bar 22 it is a literal note for note of the piano original except for the low "G" that haselindley wrote:Thanks for the wonderful transcription -- I like that you put the opening at the 12th position with the arpeggios starting in deep bass. I'll give it a try tonight. -- Ed
I have been playing this quite succesfully for about a year. Attached is the latest version with some added fingeringminstrel wrote: Updated version.
This is my transcription of Fur Elise. I have tried to make it as faithfull to the original intent
as possible. I have read through it, it is quite playable but some parts are not easy. I am
sure that there will be a few more changes as I further understand the compromises that are
neccessary in rendering this work for solo guitar, but I think it is mostly "there".
Comments and critisism is welcome and neccessary. Particularly bars 69 - 83, which is
the most problematic part of the transcription. But I like it a lot so far!
I have preserved the dominant 7th harmonies that are present in the first publication but
are left out in subsequent editions such as the Breitkopf.
All phrasing slurs have been preserved, and I have added no guitar fingerings or guitar slurs.
I will probably engrave a fingered version once I have some experience playing the piece.
