[PDF] Gaultier, Ennemond - Chaconne

Postby pogmoor » Thu Dec 08, 2016 2:26 pm

The lutenist Ennemond Gaultier (known as Gaultier le Vieux to distinguish him from his cousin Denis Gaultier also a lutenist/composer) is regarded as one of the initiators of the French style brisé later adopted by clavecinists such as François Couperin. This short chaconne is a good example of his work. You can find a video of the piece here: viewtopic.php?f=48&t=109084#p1160562.
