“A short piece by my late father, Lloyd Kemp (1914-2013). He was a medical physicist - a pioneer of the profession - but also a keen amateur musician, having played piano, organ, cello and double bass. He had composition lessons from Eric Thiman, and wrote mostly songs with piano - mostly his own texts - and solos and chamber works for his family, who played violin, flute, and guitar. He wrote about a dozen short pieces for me. I am extremely grateful to Bernhard Heimann for offering to do this beautiful engraving for me”.

“What a charming piece; it's very well written for the guitar
If your father was not a guitarist himself he must have thought hard about writing something that would fall easily under the fingers!”
