“A short piece by my late father, Lloyd Kemp (1914-2013). He was a medical physicist - a pioneer of the profession - but also a keen amateur musician, having played piano, organ, cello and double bass. He had composition lessons from Eric Thiman, and wrote mostly songs with piano - mostly his own texts - and solos and chamber works for his family, who played violin, flute, and guitar. He wrote about a dozen short pieces for me. I am extremely grateful to Bernhard Heimann for offering to do this beautiful engraving for me”.

“What a charming piece; it's very well written for the guitar
If your father was not a guitarist himself he must have thought hard about writing something that would fall easily under the fingers!”

Hi John,

For some reason, the file won't open on my Mac. I'm getting an error message saying the file may be corrupt? It could just be me, but would you mind checking the file you have uploaded?

It wouldn't open for me either! Anyway, I've now sorted the problem, and also renamed the file, hopefully now conforming to the Delcamp protocol. I'm still quite a newbie, getting used to the website!

It's a little harder than it looks, a bit above my ability to play fluently from sight.

I agree that it does have charm. I'm working on a few things at present, but will stick it on the pile for the future.

Many thanks for posting.
