Hi. Phil. What a great Score you've come up with! Congratulations on a job very well done. I do hope we see more of your work. :contrat:
Chopin used to sleep with wooden wedges between his fingers to increase their span--now there's a thought !

Help with G7...

Thank you Phil for your kind offer to help me with questions re G7. I have made a little progress and mostly been distracted with other projects, so no specific questions at this time. You take care and I appreciate your kindness.

Hi Phil,

I am playing witht he demo version of G7, trying to decide if I want to buy the full version.

How do you place 2 lines (melody and bass notes) on the same staff like so many classical peices require?

How do you set the bass notes to have their stem pointing down?

Thanks

Rich

Hi Rich

Use the numbers at the bottom of the keypad window. I assign all my treble notes to number 1 (blue) and all my bass notes to number 2 (green). Then all the stems will be the right way up.

Hope that helps

Regards
Phil

but the colours vary according to your software and even the version - JFD's got FInale 2005 and it's different from my 2007 version!

Thanks Phil,

I tried it and it works! Very cool to enter a difficult piece and hear it played with the correct tempo and tone.

I think I'll buy the full version.

Many thanks!

Rich

Pleased to be of help. I think that, while not perfect, G7 is pretty good for the money. Especially if you can get it 2nd hand....
