[PDF] mjbindy - Sketch 1 for Owl

sketch #1

Here's the story. So I'm wide awake in my tent on the Appalachian Trail listening to a family of owl 'hoot it up'. Kept me awake for hours while my partner just laid there and snored away. So, the next day I couldn't get the theme of the owl's song out of my head. It naturally drove me to madness and thus explains many things in my life.

Here is the pdf. I'm not sure it's finished. I've never written music; this is my first stab at it. Actually, measures 16-17 is wrong and I don't know how to correct it in Museedit (yet). The second note should match the first and the first should be dotted.

cheers

Hello MJ,

Thank goodness you were inspired by the owl and not your partner's snoring!

Thank you very much for the music and congratulations on your first composition,

Best wishes, V :)

PS The Appalachian Trail! Are you doing the whole thing?

Well, for heavens sake Matt... we thought you'd never get up!
At least you heard our 'song'... thank you for notating it :D

And congratulations... what better way to begin your composing career!
