Bernard and Susan, you're most welcome. It was a labor of love. Fabbri, you're very kind. An alternative opinion might be that they're the bastard children of a mixed marriage. Ah, but love brought them into the world!

Fabbri, I notice you're from Cornwall. When I was a young man, I spent half a year in Penzance. Absolutely beautiful place! It had an interesting artistic community -- mainly painters and sculptors back then. Still miss the clotted cream fudge!

Yes, there's still clotted cream and pasties, in spite of the trendy restaurateurs who have colonised Cornwall since you left, Jon. And dozens of artists. Perhaps even a few classical guitarists, though I haven't come across any yet. Still a beautiful place.

Growing up in Indonesia and living my entire adult life in Canada. These pieces bring a lot of memory. The pentatonic scale does give us a haunting serene melody played with the local gamelan or bamboo flute. It has been a while for me, you are probably familiar, with some of the wellknown the Sundanese songs, such as: Es Lilin and Bubuy Bulan, or the Javanese - Gambang Suling.

My appreciation to your cross-cultural interest!

Here's an audio link for these pieces. It gives a general idea of what they sound like.
