Tab for 10-string classical guitar

Post by tkoehler1 » Mon Nov 07, 2016 1:05 am

Hi,

I've been looking at those Chinese 10 string classicals that Cathedral Guitars sells. They are not too expensive and I love the sound of the extra basses. I'm thinking about buying one.

However, I am a part time guitarist and I do not read music. I would need 10 string tab. I've gone to all the 10 string sites on the internet and while the sheet music is out there none of it is tab. Does anyone know where I can find some?

An additional plus would be if there was tab available that had a video component (such as a YouTube video) as well. I've learned a fair bit where I can look at a video and get tab for the same piece. It's not necessary, but it's a plus.

Fyi here's a page from Cathedral's website:

Here's what it sounds like:

Thanks for any responses!

As is the case in the piece he's playing in the video you posted, you can just find a 6-string version and lower some or all of the As Bs Cs and Ds an octave onto the open lower strings.

Here's an old site that is now down but still available on Wayback Machine Internet Archives that has multi-string pieces available in TAB. Look for the ones that say MSV (multi string version) next to it.

Thank you soltirefa, that is exactly what I am looking for! I looked over the site in the link and downloaded and handful. There's a lot there.

I agree with you about adding some bass notes from a 6 string score. It's just helpful for a non-musician like me to have it all on the page.

Any others? I'd be particularly interested in bach 10 string tab.

Thanks in advance
